Mr. Lane is a partner at SRA, with commercial banking, M&A, and equity and mezzanine investment experience. He leads SRA’s M&A practice and has led the credit due diligence on a number of large bank recapitalizations and private equity bank investments. Mr. Lane is Founder and President of LVIR Investors, a mezzanine lending and equity investment fund, and has led the direct equity/mezzanine investment units of the Dime Savings Bank of New York and First Fidelity Bancorp. He headed First Fidelity’s (subsequently First Union’s) SBA Lending and Community Development Lending and Investment Groups. In the 1990s, Mr. Lane headed the mergers and acquisitions due diligence team for First Fidelity Bancorporation, then the nation’s 25th largest banking institution. Before joining First Fidelity, Mr. Lane was employed by the United States Comptroller of the Currency, where he became the Senior Regulator for Highly Leveraged Transactions. Mr. Lane is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds both a BS and an MBA from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia. He is also a Graduate of the Stonier School of Banking at Rutgers University.
